About this book

Part N — Registers, higher-court orders, fees, costs, dress, residual powers

Rule 118. Registrar to ensure compliance of Hon’ble Supreme Court or Hon’ble High Courts orders

Chapter XV · Miscellaneous

118.1 The rule

It shall be the duty of the Registrar to take expeditious steps to comply with the directions of the Hon‘ble Supreme Court/Hon‘ble High Courts in matters pertaining to the Appellate Tribunal.

118.2 What it does

Rule 118 puts the implementation of superior court directions on one named officer and requires it to be done expeditiously. It is the executive half of the pair: r.117 gets the order in front of the President and the Bench, r.118 makes somebody answerable for acting on it, and r.116 columns 10 and 11 record whether that happened.
