Rule 117. Placing of order of Hon’ble Supreme Court and Hon’ble High Courts before the Appellate Tribunal
Chapter XV · Miscellaneous
117.1 The rule
Whenever an interim or final order passed by the Hon‘ble Supreme Court or Hon‘ble High Courts in an appeal or other proceeding preferred against a decision of the Appellate Tribunal is received, the same shall forthwith be placed before the President and same Bench of Members for information and kept in the relevant case file and immediate attention of the Registrar shall be drawn to the directions requiring compliance.
117.2 What it does
Rule 117 fixes what happens inside the building when an order of the Supreme Court or a High Court in a challenge to a GSTAT decision arrives: it goes at once before the President and before the very Bench that decided the case, it is put on the case file, and anything in it requiring compliance is flagged to the Registrar.
