Part L — Disposal and pronouncement of orders
Rule 101. Corrections
Chapter XIII · Disposal of cases and pronouncement of orders
101.1 The rule
Every Member of the Bench who has prepared the order shall affix his initials at the bottom of each page and under all corrections.
101.2 What it does
Rule 101 is an authentication rule, not a power. It imposes two obligations on the Member who prepared the order — initials at the foot of every page, and initials directly under every correction — so that the signed original in the record is self-proving: no page can be substituted and no figure altered without the alteration being visible and owned.
